POETRY OF CURVES

SOME CURVES LOOK  LIKE POETRY OF LINES

A straight line is very simple.Knowing any two points on any part of the line,we know where it comes from and leading to.It is very safe to predict where the line will go but not the cuve. The curve is very dangerous. You only know a part of it - we don't know where it begins and  where it leads to.That is the nature of curve.

Looking at the photos above and below, curves are more interesting and seductive than straight lines.Curves are every where in nature and man-made environments especially in the cities. We just need to look around the corner-the pun is intended.

My first encounter with a French curve was when I was in form4,circa 1969.I bought one set to assist me to draw curves in my mathematics exercises. As they say,the rest of my learning is history. My learning curve continues into the world of photography.Below is one great collection curves used in Masjid Tuanku Sultan Mizan in Putrajaya.

Lilies flowers have beautiful curve lines.

Below are a few more examples ..

10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ADIB NOH PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

Here is a selection of my photos taken over the ten years with my Fujifilm camera, Smartphones (Samsung/apple) and Lumix LX5. How do I select 40 photos as shown here from more than 10,000 photos taken and uploaded? I just selected at random whatever photos I like to cover various genres of photography. May be I add ten more later.
