ENVIRONMENT:Natural disasters?

The above photo was taken on 10/1/2012.It was bad monsoon month. Most of the beach protection barriers were destroyed at Pantai Irama,Bachok.I saw the destruction right in front of me.As an engineer,I saw two posssibilities-the monsoon was exceptionally bad or the protective measures were not designed and constructed properly.Looking at the mode of failure,I can safely conclude that the beach protection measures were not designed and constructed adequately. If we had done a proper beach prrotection,we could have mitigated and reduce the impact of damage to the beach.Honestly,we have failed to do what we could have done.
About three years later,a new rock embankement was constructed to reduce the waves dmaging impact to the beach.Suffice to say,we need to do more if we care about our beaches.

Below is a photo of Sungai Bachok that turned green. It has got nothing to do with natural disaster. It is man made disaster. The river was dirty and neglected.

These scenarios are happening all over the country.Sad to say,we cannot event take care of our beaches. However, land reclaimation is being done to build up more properties for  sales.

The above beautiful bridge over the river at Pantai Irama has  already collapsed and gone.

Let us keep this beautiful Pantai Irama in tact for the next generation.I have been coming here for the last 50 years.

10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ADIB NOH PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

Here is a selection of my photos taken over the ten years with my Fujifilm camera, Smartphones (Samsung/apple) and Lumix LX5. How do I select 40 photos as shown here from more than 10,000 photos taken and uploaded? I just selected at random whatever photos I like to cover various genres of photography. May be I add ten more later.
