On landscape shadows

shadow is a dark area where light from a light source is blocked by an opaque object. It occupies all of the three-dimensional volume behind an object with light in front of it. The cross section of a shadow is a two-dimensional silhouette, or a reverse projection of the object blocking the light.-Wikipedia

When I started taking landscape photos,I avoid dark areas like shadows.I wanted my photos to be clear and sunny-just like standard postcard photos.Over the years, learning from the work of other photographers,I began to see the beauty of shadows in the photos.I see beautiful patterns and nice distortions of the real objects.

Shadows are virtual. They change with time. You can see them but you can't touch them. They come and they go.

10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ADIB NOH PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

Here is a selection of my photos taken over the ten years with my Fujifilm camera, Smartphones (Samsung/apple) and Lumix LX5. How do I select 40 photos as shown here from more than 10,000 photos taken and uploaded? I just selected at random whatever photos I like to cover various genres of photography. May be I add ten more later.
