PHOTOGRAPHY QUOTES

Some quotes on photography by well known photographers are very inspiring and revealing the true nature of what is photography. This week, our theme of the week for Putrajaya Photowalk is based on QUOTE ,mainly about photography and life. The response is very good.

“The wisdom of the wise and the experience of the ages are perpetuated in quotations”. – Benjamin Disraeli

On my wedding in 1977,there was only one photographer.Fast forward to today,I saw at least two official wedding photographers-camera and video. In addition to that ,at least 10 unofficial photographers from the attendees will be snapping photos like the one you see above. It is the technology.

“ You don’t take a photograph, you make it. – Ansel Adams

“ Beauty can be seen in all things, seeing and composing the beauty is what separates the snapshot from the photograph. – Matt Hardy

Nowadays, everyone with a smart phone and camera takes photos every day.I read that more than 150 millions photos are uploaded and shared in the Facebook daily. Most of them are snapshots and some are really great captures. As an avid amateur photographer,I enjoy looking at great shots in a few online photo sharing websites like 500PX, YOUPIC, FLICKR,TUMBLR.Personally,I have more than 30,000 photos at Flickr.

“ You’ve got to push yourself harder. You’ve got to start looking for pictures nobody else could take. You’ve got to take the tools you have and probe deeper. – William Albert Allard

KB WALK

I planned to have four days of Photowalking around Kota Bharu #KBWalk ,but due to unplanned family errands which I love doing for my  mother and son,I only managed to have two days with only less than 4 hours.Herewith I shared two photos taken behind Pejabat PAS. To do justice to the town,I need at least 7 full days and nights to capture the history  and culture of the place. My first attempt had revealed a lot more for me to explore, discover and capture.Another missing dimension I need to have with me before I embark on KBWalk is the history of Kota Bharu. It has to be another time..May be after Eidil Fitri.
