CAPTURING LIFE IN MY CITY

This subject appeals to me more than just going downtown to capture street photography shots with a group of friends.I have been to at least a dozen photowalks with 10 to 50 photographers in KL and Putrajaya. That is more than enough.I am not going to join any bigger crowd more than a dozen from now on.We look like a Dirty Dozen movie characters armed with bazzoka-like cameras with big and long lenses.Honestly,I prefer to go out shooting with just three friends. At times,I just want to roam the streets and shoot alone. That is my kind of street photography. It is part of Life Photography.Being alone,I will take photos without being influenced by others.

Life is every where and not limiting to streets or public spaces where a lot of people.I prefer to shoot how people are living their lives- in the shopping complexes, the market places, the gardens, bus terminals, train stations, picnic by the beach, hiking on the river bank etc.It is more  about life than places.Artistic street photography caught my interest  and I like those great photos but what is more meaningful is about the people and their lives-about their work, their leisures and their cultures.

I appreciate beautiful and creative work of art in photography. But I don't really share the view art for art 's sake like photos  exposing nude women in public. What is more important than art is our very own life.

I love cycling but I did not enter the Bicycle Race.It was great fun shooting LTdL event in KL.On the left is my photo cycling in the Wetlands of Putrajaya.Life is fun!

Here are two fishermen with their net to catch some fish. The beach is their workplace and the Wet Market is their trading rooms. The warongs by the roadside are their cafes. Such is life.

Below is the photo of two men fishing. They are doing for fun and not to earn their living. Later, they will go to O'Brien Coffee to share their Catch of The Day's story.

Eating is our Malaysian pastime, anywhere, any time. The photo below shows my friends eating at the 4-star hotel in Seremban as compared to eating at Pasar Tani as shown above.I love both-each has its own beauty and fun...

As muslims,we have our lives at the masjid as well. Here is one shot that I love very much.Let us potray our lives as beautiful as ever via our Life Photography.

KB WALK

I planned to have four days of Photowalking around Kota Bharu #KBWalk ,but due to unplanned family errands which I love doing for my  mother and son,I only managed to have two days with only less than 4 hours.Herewith I shared two photos taken behind Pejabat PAS. To do justice to the town,I need at least 7 full days and nights to capture the history  and culture of the place. My first attempt had revealed a lot more for me to explore, discover and capture.Another missing dimension I need to have with me before I embark on KBWalk is the history of Kota Bharu. It has to be another time..May be after Eidil Fitri.

COMPARISON BETWEEN MY IPHONE 14 ProMax VS FUJIFILM XT20

No camera is suitable for every occasion. Here is a simple comparison. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, and I love both.
