The Enlightened Walk:
A walk is a walk-the only differences are where we walk and what experience we have along the path. While waiting for my train to arrive, I walked around KL Sentral and saw a big group of people waiting for the Inter-City train on the first floor. The departure hall looked warm and cheerful because of the natural lighting of the sun through the glass roofs. The lighting from above made all the difference!
This visual experience reminds me of three major categories of knowledge. The theoretical and the empirical are like the electrical bulbs fixed inside the building, but the transcendental knowledge(wahyu) is like the light from above the roofs. It is a given knowledge or light. You either see or receive it or you don't. May Allah guide us with His Lights. More on light,(please refer to ayat 35, Surah An-Nur)
