What a beautiful entrance to Masjid Sultan Mizan!That is what everyone says when they come to this masjid.Then ,most of them just walk through to see what is inside.They just pass through this beautiful arched door in less in a minute.
I did not follow what common people do.It was due to my knowledge and training as a civil engineer.I walked in and stopped and appreciated the design and ponder on what it took to get this done.My mind immediately reminded me of the intricate forces and bending moments associated with this structural members.Similarly,people like architects and Interior Decorators will feel the same way.Seeing the sight depends on who we are-the visuals are the same but the feelings are personal.
Geometrical shapes of various sizes are displayed every where in buildings and infrastructure facilities.Most people see them as designs,patterns and motifs.To my engineering minds,I see the theoritical knowledge behind them.They are so virtual and yet so real.
