SEEING THE SIGHT-The Colours

The primary colours are very strong especially the red one.Strong colours attract our attention.Colours also have their own meaning and significance in certain communities and religions.United Colours of Brentton from Italy has great success of their products by using colours.I salute their creativity and marketing savvy!

The photos above and below are good attempt by McDonald and MAS to attrack the attention of their customers. The ambiance also look livelier with warm and bright colours.

Below is a wall clading with nice soft colours to hide the construction/renovation work  taking place in a shopping complex. It was very pleasant to passersby.

Kids look great in whatever bright colours they wear. They can wear any colours because they are kids. The brighter the colours the better.

To a photographer like me,colours are very personal.I like soft bright colours when I take photos in the early morning or late afternoon. However, the pro photographers may have to comply with their client's briefs. At school,I learnt about the seven colours but when I shoot photos, there are many shades and hues of blue, green, red etc.In real life photography ,the light paints thousands of colours. That is where the problem arises-what colour and how much of it?

As the saying goes:No one is the master of the sea.I think ,I could say,no one is the master of the light either.Science can define and explain the physical light ,but how the light affects the feeling of the beholder is an art by itself. That reminds me about The Theory of Duality of Light which I learnt some 40 years ago.
