My friend commented that above photo looks like it was taken in London.My guess is that the foreground add additional element to the photo.If I crop off the foreground and the background,the photo is just a boat cruising along a river.It can be any where and there is no story to tell.By the way,it is a view from the riverside next to Menara PJH in Putrajaya,Malaysia.
Referring to the above photo of the garden around KLCC,the horse-shoe shaped bench is a unique feature as the foreground.In this case,it looks like it is also the subject by itself.
Below is one of my favourite shots of Water Recreational Centre of Putrajaya.I was lucky to be here on a sunny day with great cloud formations hovering above the King's Palace.Here is a similar case where the foreground adds colours to the green landscape.
In short,foreground matters!
