ON THE STREET:CHOOSE,WAIT AND SHOOT

Learning from the masters in Street Photography,I prefer to use the recommended method of selecting the place to shoot, wait for something to happen or someone to walk passing into my frame. And then when I get what I like ,I just shoot a few shots.

The above photo was shot at KL Sentral.I wait for everyone went into the train first, shot them when they were inside and then I jumped into the train. To get on the train platform, one must get a ticket to travel.Usually,I wait for  two trains to go first to allow me to take photos. And whenever I ride a train I will try to sit in front or at the back so that I can shoot the passing views and another trains coming in opposite directions.

At NU SENTRAL-The lady did not noticed that I took her photo. Her eyes were stuck on her mobile phone's screen,

My experienced friends in street photography told me not to expect anything.Just keep walking, open your eyes and ears and get your camera ready.I have a few frustrated photowalk experiences when I went looking for something interesting to shoot. The street photography guru told us that the moments will come to us.We don't go out looking for them. But we need the eyes to recognise one...Yes,the eyes...Just be patient and ready.
At times,I do run out of patience..

In the above photo,I was fascinated by the natural lighting that cast some interesting shadows on the people and packs of nasi lemak. There were many movements of people inside the mamak shop.I just need extra patience to shoot the moments.

I almost ran out of my patience looking around to shoot at Mitsui Outlets. There were not many people around.Suddenly I got a call from my son to meet him at this place. As I was walking,I noticed a series of curved white lights at the roof level.OMG,that is a good background for my shot.I love the lights. So,I waited and got this shot as shown above.

As for me,my street photos are more toward the happy and cheerful life in public places-and capturing the beautiful moments.Below is one special shot-Pure Elegant!

KB WALK

I planned to have four days of Photowalking around Kota Bharu #KBWalk ,but due to unplanned family errands which I love doing for my  mother and son,I only managed to have two days with only less than 4 hours.Herewith I shared two photos taken behind Pejabat PAS. To do justice to the town,I need at least 7 full days and nights to capture the history  and culture of the place. My first attempt had revealed a lot more for me to explore, discover and capture.Another missing dimension I need to have with me before I embark on KBWalk is the history of Kota Bharu. It has to be another time..May be after Eidil Fitri.

COMPARISON BETWEEN MY IPHONE 14 ProMax VS FUJIFILM XT20

No camera is suitable for every occasion. Here is a simple comparison. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, and I love both. DXOMARK cites strengths like vivid color, wide dynamic range, sharp detail, and low noise; potential drawbacks include clipping highlights and noise indoors  . Fujifilm X-T20 Features a...
