Photo Highlights of 2016

Street Photography After taking a few thousands photos this year 2016,how do I select 12 of them to highlight my interests with various types of photography genres that I fell in love and still exploring? Some of the good photos may be hidden in my computer and smart phones because I have forgotten what I had taken. What I have selected here are from my fading memory and I chose them because I like them. Here,I am NOT talking about great photography but more what matters to my heart and not my brain. My Cycling Tribe at The Boarwalk. Group Bowling Competition of Perantau Bachok at Bangi Gateway Family picnic at the Nami Island of Bachok Trees along Pantai Irama,Bachok Landscape of Masjid Putra Solat Dhuha  Marigold flowers blooming in Taman Saujana Hijau,Putrajaya The Forbidden Bridge Black & White Photography Masjid Tuanku Mizan as a beautiful landmark in the City of Putrajaya. Snapshot at Masjid Tuanku Mizan,Putrajaya

I love the beautiful arched super-structures of this mosque.Above is the main entarnce. Arches are every where. And I love the symmetry. Below is the main entrance-A block of its own. Laman Qiblat turned into a souq during Ramadan.

Walking on the sands

He was very scared to walk on the sandy beach at Pantai Cahaya Bulan,Kota Bharu,Kelantan. This is his first time.I have to hold his hand.To him,the earth behaved differently. All this while,he is an urban boy - walking on the firm pavement and tarmac road. Such is life..We are afraid of unfamiliar ground-the pun is intended here.It is just like walking in the dark;we don't know what to expect. To get through with confidence, one needs help from a trusted helping hand as I did to my grandson first time walking on loose sandy beach. So,let us give  a helping hand to those in need.

LOOKING DOWN..

I am scared of height,so I seldom shoot from above.Looking up and sho ot make my neck  feels unnecessary pains. How do I shoot looking down?So far,I shot some photos from first  to fifth floor. Below is a shot I took at Muzium Kesenian Islam Malaysia. It was quite vertical shot.I love the spiral staircase. Nu Sentral has many levels but I shot from Level 3 at about 45 degrees downward so that I can capture a few floors. This is a shot of the ground floor from the first floor. Below are a  few places I took shot looking down. SURIA KLCC KL SENTRAL-SHOOTING THE CROWD AMPANG PUTRI MEDICAL CENTRE LAST PHOTO BUT I LIKE IT THE MOST.IT WAS TAKEN FROM THE MEZZANINE FLOOR OF MASJID AL HASANAH BB BANGI. So ,what lesson I learn? I like closer shot because I see the trees and not the forest.

Floor Reflections

Reflection can take all the floor space or half of it as shown above and below. The horizontal flooe fades away and becomes part of the vertical objects. The reality and the virtuality may morphed into a new entity of its own image and beauty. Below are a few of my photos with reflections that become surreal and formed a new subject on its own.

VIEWS FROM YARA 8

Almost every Satrday morning,my wife and me will be walking along the stretch from PM Residence in Preint 10 to Ayer@8 via Yarra 8.I park my car at Putrajaya Lake Club and take a walk 3km in either direction. As I walk,I also take photos.Yesterday, the it was sunny and the sky eas full of great clouds formations as shown above. Below is a fellow photographer who came here by 7am to capture the scenery as the sun rises. As you can see in the above photo, there are two photographers. They were armed to the teeth will all the big and sophisticated 'arms' taking lapsed photography as well as videos.I dropped by selling hello and learned what they were doing. How I wish I talked longer with them so that I can learn more about landscape photography. My wife was walking 200 metres ahead of me.I said good-bye and caught up with my wife. Below are some shots I took with my Samsung Note 5 as I was doing my morning walk.I hope you like them.

Pelikans at Putrajaya Wetland

Every month I will visit and take photos of some beautiful lovely birds at Putrajaya Wetland. It is just my photography hobby ritual.Yesterday,I came here quite early around 7:30am.The weather was cloudy and grey.At that time my favourite feathered friends were still sleeping-The Black Swans.None was around. However,I got lucky to see and took photos of the white pelikans. Just look the above and photos below. They are a united group-may be under one Commanding Officer. They swim together, dip their beaks into the water together and move to a new destination together. These birds must be chattering  about me.Thank God I don't understand a word they were saying. And when they swim, they follow a leader.Do these birds have the ability to think and act?Or just animal instinct embedded into their DNA?Something to ponder.. Thank you Ya Allah for giving me the chance and the ability to see your beautiful creations. To You,belong All The Beautiful Name...
