People at The Jetty

Jetty is designed for the boats. These jetties are located at Putrajaya Water Sport Centre.Events only take place once or twice a month. Most of the time, the people are there to enjoy the views, some bring in food for breakfast and picnic, some are just there to comtemplate and some are people like me who come here to enjoy the views and take photos.During weekends,I notice a lot of wedding photography taking place on the jetty as shown above.

I took more than 10 photos on the jetty, near the jetty and away from the jetty. When I was on the jetty,I was too close to take photos of the people-I was inside the 'frame' of the photo I wish to take.So ,I moved away and took a shot from a distance of 50 metres. The photo I got was the view of the jetty, dotted with people on it.Then,I move closer-about 10 metres away from my subject to get this shot.In the original photo, there were many distractions that littered my composition. To get a photo that has  clean composition and tells a story,I had to do some cropping with a little edition.

What attracted me most is the young lady was sitting alone and reading something on her smart phone. Her body was there enjoying the ambiance but I think her mind and heart were some where else.

Is this the photo I wanted to take when I came here? The answer is no.I did not have a clue of what photo composition it will be,but I wanted to take photos of people enjoying themselves on the jetties.I only see this composition when I was taking the photo.
