WELCOME 2016

Goodbye 2015 and I welcome 2016!

Last year,I was busy with my only three cameras i.e Fujifilm X-T1,Lumix LX5 and Smart phone Note3.Most of the shots taken were in the reverse order.Note3 is always with me and took the most photos.I also use it as a back-up when I went shooting with my XT1 or LX5.Picture quality? It all depends and not very much related to the camera.Photos depend on the subject, the camera and the photographer.

Since July,2014 I have uploaded 207 postings with more than 14,000 pageviews. Most views came from my Facebook friends who love photography. Most of the time,I uploaded a few photos and wrote short notes about them.I am neither expert nor a teacher in photography but what I did was to share my experience in photography engagements, explorations and adventures.

Over the last three years,I started a personal photography projects:
1.Postcards of Putrajaya
2.Bachok is Beautiful.

After my reviews of the photos with my peers and photography sifus,I need more better photos and the stories.I hope I could complete these projects in 2016.

What am I going to achieve and do in this year 2016?It is too long to plan. So,I decide to break the years into quarters. Each quarter has three months. In 1 quarter,I have 3X4=12 weekends. Then,I have more manageable time frame to plan, work my way and hopefully achieve my goals.

Here are my 1Q Goals:

1.Master my XT1-It has 50 features.

2.Read book on EXPOSURE and practise to improve it.

If you are new to photography,I suggest to learn more first on composition and light. The above photo is the outcome of my learning and gift from Allah.I took the photo in colour, but when I converted to B&W,the result was beyond my imagination.

To all my readers, thank you for taking time to read my humble notes and let us be better in whatever we do compared to what we did last year, insyaAllah.

Personal Note:Flickr account 33,453 photos uploaded.

KB WALK

I planned to have four days of Photowalking around Kota Bharu #KBWalk ,but due to unplanned family errands which I love doing for my  mother and son,I only managed to have two days with only less than 4 hours.Herewith I shared two photos taken behind Pejabat PAS. To do justice to the town,I need at least 7 full days and nights to capture the history  and culture of the place. My first attempt had revealed a lot more for me to explore, discover and capture.Another missing dimension I need to have with me before I embark on KBWalk is the history of Kota Bharu. It has to be another time..May be after Eidil Fitri.

COMPARISON BETWEEN MY IPHONE 14 ProMax VS FUJIFILM XT20

No camera is suitable for every occasion. Here is a simple comparison. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, and I love both. When I go photowalking with friends, I use more smartphones than the Fujifilm XT20. DXOMARK cites strengths like vivid color, wide dynamic range, sharp detail, and low noise; potential drawbacks include clipping highlights and noise indoors  . Fujifilm X-T20 Features a...
