SHOOTING A CYCLING RACE-LTdL 2008

This is my first endeavour to shoot an inter-national sport event. Before this,I have never shot any sport event-either national or state level events. To make it worse,I still do not how to shoot with my newly bought Canon DSLR 400D.Anyway,I took all my courage that I had at 56 years old and joined my photography sifu Nazley Fadley at KLCC to shoot LTdL Final leg at KL.I expected nothing and what ever I got were bonus of the day.

In a situation like this,I learnt to be a fool.Just follow what other photographers were doing.I looked around where were they located, how they shot and what they shot. What I did not know then was what camera setting they used to shoot. At that time I shot mostly on Auto except when I was taught how to do panning.

I made a lot of mistakes. Here are a few that look good to me.From that day,my interest began to grow but I only get more serious since  about five years ago when I began shooting photos with my Lumix LX5 during my cycling in Putrajaya. As they say,the rest is history.

KB WALK

I planned to have four days of Photowalking around Kota Bharu #KBWalk ,but due to unplanned family errands which I love doing for my  mother and son,I only managed to have two days with only less than 4 hours.Herewith I shared two photos taken behind Pejabat PAS. To do justice to the town,I need at least 7 full days and nights to capture the history  and culture of the place. My first attempt had revealed a lot more for me to explore, discover and capture.Another missing dimension I need to have with me before I embark on KBWalk is the history of Kota Bharu. It has to be another time..May be after Eidil Fitri.
