GENRES OF INTEREST

Most people started photography hobby by taking landscape photos.I am one of the millions who did that. Why?My guess is that beautiful views are every where to be seen and photographed.Just aim and shoot. As he collected more photos,he began to ask questions on imqge quality etc and he started going to other places he never ventured before to get better photos. My first ever photo which got noticed by an ad agency to sell property was used to promote and sell houses in Putrajaya. This is the first time my photo got printed in three national newspapers! As they say,the rest is history.

I joined  a cycling group in Putrajaya way back in 2008 and have been cycling ever seen.I began to take photos of my friends cycling and also their portraits. Our cycling trails pass many beautiful garden and lakesides. Then ,I began also to get interest in flower photography and continue taking photos of nice and better landscapes.During cycling events,I also take event photos.I ended posting thousands of my cycling photos that made some strangers thought that I am either selling bicycle or cyclist. But one wrong assumption that I like was some people thought that I am professional photographer.I hope it will happen one fine day.By the way,I have written an eBook on cycling in Putrajaya. It is not printed yet, because I want to get a sponsor for it.So far, none was foolish enough to pay my passion.I just need RM10,000 to launch the book.

As I cycle in Putrajaya,I don't only see garden but I saw beautiful buildings and bridges. The above is The Moroccan Pavillion located at Taman Botani. My interest began to shift to architectures.Until today,I have not taken photos of all the buildings in Putrajaya. As an engineer,I love geometrical patterns in buildings and bridges.Next photo project is architectural abstracts.

As I cycle a few times around the lakeside of Putrajaya,I also took photos of my riding buddies. Slowly, my interest moved to portrait or environmental portraits. As they say again, my interests started moving to the streets and I began to enjoy Street Photography.

Street Photography is quite addictive and I am feeling it. My main camera is Fujifilm X-T1 and this camera is heavy. So, many a time I take along my Lumix LX5 for my cycling and street photography. Hopefully, when I save enough money, I will buy either Lumix LX100 or Fujifilm X100T.

For the moment, I want to explore various genres of photography. When the time comes, I will focus on landscape, urban and portrait photography.

KB WALK

I planned to have four days of Photowalking around Kota Bharu #KBWalk ,but due to unplanned family errands which I love doing for my  mother and son,I only managed to have two days with only less than 4 hours.Herewith I shared two photos taken behind Pejabat PAS. To do justice to the town,I need at least 7 full days and nights to capture the history  and culture of the place. My first attempt had revealed a lot more for me to explore, discover and capture.Another missing dimension I need to have with me before I embark on KBWalk is the history of Kota Bharu. It has to be another time..May be after Eidil Fitri.

COMPARISON BETWEEN MY IPHONE 14 ProMax VS FUJIFILM XT20

No camera is suitable for every occasion. Here is a simple comparison. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, and I love both.
