FUJIFILM X-T1- BASIC 101

After my  third attempt to join this class since last year,I managed to get a seat yesterday. It was very popular because many of us got our Fujifilm X-T1 at the beginning of last year,2014.The seats available are 15 persons per session, but only 8 of us attended the tutorial yesterday.

I am one of the few who read the camera manual, and yet I did not undertand as much I have understood during yesterday tutorial.I was shown the many features of the camera that I never use since I got my X-T1 sixteen months ago. What a waste of time.I just used whatever features and buttons that I am more familiar to my previous DSLR Canon 400D.Reading the manual can be confusing and I found out that I misunderstood the usage of some buttons and features.Thank Good that I attended this tutorial and met a professional photographer  who came and joined my class.Mirrorless camera has a differrent way of taking and managing photos compared to the traditional DSLR where the pros were more familiar.Basic function of camera is the same, but firmware can vary a lot.My version is still 3.1 and now it is 4.0.

After attending this tutorial,I felt more confident to use my camera. My only regret is I should attend this course last year so that I didnot make more mistakes and make full use of the opportunities availlable for me in the last 16 months. On the other hand,my past year experience helped me to undertand my camera better. As they say, experience is the best teacher, especially bad and expensive one.

To fellow newbies and novices in photography,it is better to spend money on attending courses and buy books than buying new gears.Let us go shooting and have fun..Below are some snapshots at Nu Sentral,KL
