Black Swan Hunt

This morning,I got all my gear to go and shoot a few elusive black swans lurking around the lakes in Putrajaya Wetland.I arrived at 7am and most of the birds are up and making a lot of noise especially the ducks from Egypt.

Armed to the teeth with Fujifilm XT1 and 55-200mm camera,an old Lumix LX5 and camera phone Note3,I began my shooting with my XT1.To my consternation, the barrel was locked and I could not zoom in and out.Anyway,I took a few shots and stopped using it after a few minutes.I took out both of my spare gears and started shooting the best I could.

At about 7:30am, a fellow photographer came along to do his shooting as well but on different subjects.I asked him why I could not zoom the 200mm lens.He took my camera and fiddled with it.His magic fingers did something that he also did not know and the zooming works!Immediately,I used the zoom lens to catch closer photos of subject of the day-Black Swans of Putrajaya!Phewww..

Here are some snapshots...

KB WALK

I planned to have four days of Photowalking around Kota Bharu #KBWalk ,but due to unplanned family errands which I love doing for my  mother and son,I only managed to have two days with only less than 4 hours.Herewith I shared two photos taken behind Pejabat PAS. To do justice to the town,I need at least 7 full days and nights to capture the history  and culture of the place. My first attempt had revealed a lot more for me to explore, discover and capture.Another missing dimension I need to have with me before I embark on KBWalk is the history of Kota Bharu. It has to be another time..May be after Eidil Fitri.
