TREES WITHOUT LEAVES

Even without their leaves, these trees remain beautiful on their own.Just like a man of good characters, he remains outstanding in whatever circumstances.

CYCLING PHOTOS 1.0

Yesterday, I was very happy to read The Star 's article about our cycling group - Putrajaya Cycling Club as shown above. Every time we cycle, we take photos of beautiful and interesting places along our cycling tracks. We also stop at every 5km for rest/toilet and take the opportunity to take group photos with friends.Later, we share these happy and beautiful moments with relatives and friends. Nice cycling photos send effective messages to people to invite them to take up cycling as a hobby. And perhaps later, they will realise the benefits of cycling for them and the community not only for fun and health reasons but also for personal transport.

FULL HOUSE RESTAURANTS

The above is simply Penang Restaurant and below is the Cafeteria at IKEA Cheras, Kuala Lumpur. Both were full even on second of Aidil Fitri(26/6/2017) It only means ONE thing to me.The meals served are good and affordable. I went for Penang Char Kway Teow! While looking for empty seats for my wife and son, I stole a few glances to see what my fellow Malaysians were eating. To my surprise ,most of them ate foreign dishes. No matter how good and tasty are our local dishes, many of us, including yours truly, still want to try and eat some exotic Danish meals who names we cannot even pronounce properly.Maybe familiarity breed contempt!

WATER IN LANDSCAPE

I love to see water in and around buildings environment. Water has cooling and beautiful effects and sometimes gives soothing sounds of waterfalls.Herewith I am sharing some examples taken when I revisited KLCC Garden last week. There are many ways to incorporate water features inside the buildings and outside landscape. The designs are only limited by own ingenuity.

CYCLING PATHS IN NETHERLANDS

THE ABOVE ARE GOOD EXAMPLES OF CYCLING PATH/LANES IN NETHERLANDS TAKEN BY FRIENDS HANITA AND LOH.THESE ARE WELL DESIGNED ,CONSTRUCTED AND MAINTAINED. MOST OF OUR HIGHWAYS AND URBAN ROADS ARE WORLD CLASS BUT WHEN IT COMES CYCLING LANES ETC WE BELONG TO NO CLASS EVEN IN KL.

SLOW SHUTTER SPEED

These LTDL cyclists were too fast for my camera. However, I managed to capture, albeit blurred.I just got my first DSLR and did not have a clue on how to get blurry images.I asked a few experienced photographers and these are my best captures more than a decade ago! Back to the present time, when I got my new Fujifilm X-T1, I began to put extra efforts to learn how to use a good camera.Below are some shots that I love to share. Blurred background All blurred. Motion blurring as I took this photo using my smartphone camera Note5 while I was on a moving train from KLCC to Pasar Seni. Low light condition. So I turned the photo into a  work of arts, hopefully .

WATERFALLS

KLCC Let me share a few photos of waterfalls and water cascades to simulate the real waterfall. The real one is the last photo where I took at Broga after our group cycling up the hill. The top is at KLCC Garden where people can take bath and kids can swim. The water cascades are just part of the landscape.
