Make your photo mean something..

I got my first Canon DSLR in December,2006 but I seldom use it.Most of the time,I was using my Panaonic FX8.I took the easy way out.No need to learn complex photography techniques using DSLR.Anyway, the DSLR was in auto mode for at least five years before I began to shoot in program or manual mode.My learning curve was almost flat during that period. However, when I got my 50mm prime(lent by Nazley) to use with my Canon 400D,my photography started to improve a lot.By sheer good luck,I managed to sell a few of my photos to advertisers.

In March,2013 a kind soul gave me a present -Fujifilm X-T1.This camera was a God sent because I got it about two weeks after my Canon 400D died due to old age.XT1 inspires and motivates me to learn more on how to take better photos. What is better photo?Everyone has his own version of great photos, but for me it must have meaning and/or also have a story.Composition is very important.Looking back to the last five years, most of my photos are just snapshots in which objects appeared some where in the frame.

Good photos are photos OF something. In some  cases, the emotions are included in the photos. In a few cases, they photo tells its own story!

The above three photos have one common denominator-beauty.How did I get these shots have their own stories. However, each one means a lot to me in a very different way.The second photo means a lot more to me.She is my first grand daughter.

KB WALK

I planned to have four days of Photowalking around Kota Bharu #KBWalk ,but due to unplanned family errands which I love doing for my  mother and son,I only managed to have two days with only less than 4 hours.Herewith I shared two photos taken behind Pejabat PAS. To do justice to the town,I need at least 7 full days and nights to capture the history  and culture of the place. My first attempt had revealed a lot more for me to explore, discover and capture.Another missing dimension I need to have with me before I embark on KBWalk is the history of Kota Bharu. It has to be another time..May be after Eidil Fitri.

COMPARISON BETWEEN MY IPHONE 14 ProMax VS FUJIFILM XT20

No camera is suitable for every occasion. Here is a simple comparison. Both have their own strengths and weaknesses, and I love both.
