PASAR JELAWAT-A PHOTO STORY

Pasar is the meeting place for locals, where they eat and chat, where they buy goods for their daily needs. It is also the business hub for the community. Pasar Jelawat is THE Best market in Bachok since my childhood days in the 50s..It is alive every day. These photos I am sharing were taken on Friday,Malaysia Day 16.9.2016.

All types of rice are sold here daily.Nasi bleak, nasi dagang, nasi kerabu and all.And cakes are of all kinds. My favourites are tepong pelita and beko.

Below is a shop selling something that only the locals know about it.

Kelantan people like sweet cakes. In Pasar Jelawat, one is lost for choice. Too many to choose from.

Some agro-business people just sell their farm produce either from the backs of their trucks or on the roads. Control is difficult but necessary-otherwise people cannot get in to buy their needs. Parking fees are enforced here to create order.

Below is a funny but good looking machine to make Air Batu Campur.

Here is a man who wanted to be alone for the madding crowd in the market.

10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ADIB NOH PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

Here is a selection of my photos taken over the ten years with my Fujifilm camera, Smartphones (Samsung/apple) and Lumix LX5. How do I select 40 photos as shown here from more than 10,000 photos taken and uploaded? I just selected at random whatever photos I like to cover various genres of photography. May be I add ten more later.
