Dear Readers, May I thank you very much for visiting and reading my blog on my adventure in the world of photography.I started this blog  just to archive my selected photos for future reference and at the same time to share my views and experience as I explore the nooks and corners of photography. When and where did I begin to enjoy the fun of taking photos and appreciate the beauty of photography?My memory is not that good but most probably around the year 2010 when I began shooting the beauty of Pantain Irama and the beautiful places in Putrajaya where I cycle with my friends during weekends.As a beginner,I only shoot on Auto Mode most of the time.I seldom do on Manual Mode.My expectation was very low,so I was happy with what I got most of the time.As time went by and I began to know a few good and serious photographers,I started to learn the technical aspects of using the camera and the techniques of photography.As they say,the rest is history.. I knew the word 'composition' when I joined SDAR in 1965.Composition, then was to write a story.Since my primarry school was in Malay medium,I have to enter a Remove Class to get me at par with those who studied in English medium primary school.It was hard work but most of us got by and became as good or better than those who were from English medium school. I learnt the hard way- we need to know English words and grammar to make us proficient to write sentences,paragraphs and finally the story.Only then,we can have good composition.In short,to write a good composition,I need to have a good command of my English language. Similarly with photos that tell good stories.Photo must be well composed to tell your story.In the above photo,the foreground,the subject and the background are my words  and my paragraphs.The light and the angle are my command of the language to articulate my story. Let's go for a walk.. The title reminds me of the song Walking the Street of London. Since I could not afford to go there once a year,I just walk around the streets of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Bangi and Kota Bharu.For my record,I was in London in the first week of May 2012. Sadly at that time,I have yet to discover the genre of street photography.I was then busy taking photos of the buildings and gardens around London. The photo shown above was taken next to BV11-Bangsar Shopping Centre while I was killing time waiting for my wife doing her shopping.Over the last two years,I learnt a little bit about street photography by joining photo walks organised by other groups.Later, I set up my own group called Putrajaya Photowalk.I managed to do a few photo walks and then the interest fades away since the beginning of this year 2015.Now,we just share photos online. A beautiful place to earn a living.. No traffic jam to slow you down on your way to work.And a great view even without the corner office of a CEO.Here is a photos of three fishy entreprenuers-every day going to the sea for their catch of the day.

I remember the year when Malaysians were very eager to fly the national flag during August to celebrate our Merdeka.They even bought the flags. This year it seems there is no initiative from government bodies to promote the public to fly our national flags and the public seems do not care either.Last year we have a few sad tradegies and this year we are  witnessing political and economic turmoils.Some call it as comedy of errors.I am weak and old to do something about it but I give counsel to younger people to do something for our beloved country and I pray to Allah to save us  from tradegies of our own errors. In time like this,we badly need a good captain to steer our ship in stormy weather and rough seas we are now passing through.May Allah save my country,Malaysia.

Being an engineer,I am more adept to see the city as clusters of building blocks along the roads.Personally,I love the architecture and the cityscape.When I am on the street,I love to capture life in photo shots of street photography. Yesterday,I attended a group photowalk at Bukit Bintang,Kuala Lumpur.The group leader,Mr John Ishii,a freelance photo journalist told the group to go out and take a few photos(about 5 or 6 photos) that tell the impacts of urban renewal that affect the daily lives of the people.This is an exercise for us novices in visual storytelling and may be my first lesson on the street on how to be a photo journalist-my dream job.He advised us to construct the story in our minds first and go out and look for the photos that tell our story.Not only that,we were told to engage with the people and ask them about their views on urban renewal.That is a tall order for me because all these years,I only took photos of landscapes,cycling trips,family photo events and ...

There are many beautiful buildings in Putrajaya and yet I only take photos of Masjid Putra and Masjid Sultan Mizan in greater details.Today,as I cycled around the lake,I saw these clusters of office blocks -looking grand and powerful. MOROCCAN PAVILLION Lately,I noticed more buildings are coming up in Putrajaya-developed by government agencies and private sector.This is a point concern when it comes internal city transport.I hope the Perbadanan Putrajaya will get their planning right when the city population doubles to 200,000 in the  10 or 20 years time. From my observations,the majority of the buildings are just like any other buildings in big cities but some architectural features are quite unique.I will try to capture these hidden gems(as shown in The Moroccan Pavillion) and share their photos with the public.
