LANDSCAPE PHOTOGRAPHY RE-VISITED

Before I read Micheal Freeman's book on landscape, I thought landscape genre is easy stuff.Anyone with a camera can take a photo of scenery. I just make sure the lighting and composition are okay, my photos will be all right. Yes, they all right but only a few I managed to steal a  few good shots that I am now sharing in this blog. Referring to the above,I have selected a beautiful subject and found a good location to shoot this photo during the early morning. These three items are mentioned in the MF's book.To me, these actions are strategic actions before any shooting takes place. Reflection in the water is a bonus.Its roles are to create balance with nice geometry. In the above photo, I am using the colourful kayaks as points of interest in the foreground.The cloud patterns provided vertical balance. Looking at this scenario in Holland,I just had to stop cycling and take a few shots. This is one of my best shots.A...
