HIGH KEY PHOTOGRAPHY

“ In layman’s term, it is taking photographs with white background. High key photography is basically eliminating shadows by letting more light into the camera. So the majority of the tones in the photograph are in the highlight region. This gives the photograph a positive mood and a sense of calmness.”-Quoted

I discovered this genre by mistake as shown above about a month ago. Since then.I have been trying to get more of such photos but it was not an easy task in an open environment. In a studio, it is much easier with controlled lighting but not in the urban or open environment. That is the challenge.

Below are a few shots were taken in Manual Mode and Special Filters included in my Fujifilm X-T1. I am still learning to grasp the meaning and the techniques.

A few of the above may not qualify for HIGH KEY Photography. Please forgive an old student who is a new kid on the block.

10th YEAR ANNIVERSARY OF ADIB NOH PHOTOGRAPHY BLOG

Here is a selection of my photos taken over the ten years with my Fujifilm camera, Smartphones (Samsung/apple) and Lumix LX5. How do I select 40 photos as shown here from more than 10,000 photos taken and uploaded? I just selected at random whatever photos I like to cover various genres of photography. May be I add ten more later.
