BEACONS RAYA AT CEDAR

ONE OF A KIND!

This is a very special I got through my exploration of the way to shoot a man in the masjid(mosque).I got more than I was searching for through good luck and being prepared for the moment to capture! Just look into the photo and discover the details. That is where the beauties are hidden.

B & W ON STREET

Capturing the beauty of street life is very interesting. Here you can see people standing on the street chatting, walking and eating by the side of the restaurant. It was spring time in Utrecht, Holland. It is a city made for the people and not for the cars. Petty traders do business anywhere they can or could get away from the enforcement officers. They cannot afford the proper shops to sell their wares. We can see them almost in any town in Malaysia. Here is one next to SOGO Shopping Complex. The city is full of buildings, cars and people.cA lot of activities are happening in the buildings and some on the streets. Great building architecture makes our cityscape more beautiful and vibrant. Sadly, in KL we keep buildings new ones but neglect the maintenance of the old ones. Buildings are part of our history and culture. Below are a few selected shots I love to see the interaction of light and shadows in the city. The ambience created was a beaut...

THE ART OF SEEING 3.0

Previously I blogged about this topic. Today,I want to write it in my facebook so that I can get feedback. Going back about four years ago,to be exact on 16th June,2014 I attended a talk by a world renown photographer Peter Sanders at our National Islamic Museum in KL. There, I heard for the first time about the 'spirit' of the photos. At the same time I visited the expo of photography on the topic The Spirit of Ramadan. From then on, I study Peter Sender 's work and began learning on my own The Art of Seeing. I know it is very dangerous to learn without a teacher but the photos and stories of Peter Sander's workshops helped me to understand the meaning of The Art of Seeing. Before we come to art, we must learn the science first. Later, as time goes by we must learn and acquire the art. I am still a student, albeit an old one,in the subject matter. Therefore I am not qualified to expound and elaborate on what it is. I am just here to share my experience;hopefully t...

WALKING THE BEACH-PANTAI BATU BUROK

I just like to walk on the beach-the nearer to the sea the better. It is more about the smell of the salty air,the breeeze and the motion and sounds of the waves. As I walk, I enjoy watching the moving trains of waves coming ashore. I love to guess how far the waves will push the water up the sandy beach and later watch the water falls back to sea. I can just keep standing and watching and pondering the beauty of Allah's creations. As an avid photographer,I will always carry my camera with me whenever I go to the beach. The photos above and below are what caught my interest as I keep walking. Usually, we can see a lot of people at the beach but this time I was walking at 7am. Herewith I am sharing the footprints of the life at the beach.  Walking on the beach is also a meditation for me. Seeing the vast sea makes me feel humble. It is also a good exercise for my legs and heart. The flower is my top five favourite objects to photograph. They are ...

CITY LIFE- View From The Top

Taking photos from the top or higher vantage point sometimes can be scary due to height but it gives me a different perspective from the third dimension. The angles can make a lot of difference in what we see and what we feel.
