Reflection On Reflection..

Many a time I did get lucky with few views  that I never know their existence. They came many times in my life time but I was not ready to see them and beautiful images until I got seriously interested in photography. The above photo is a special one for me.I saw the glass mugs reflections on the flat glass table top! Below is the reflection on very flat and clean marble floor at Masjid Sultan Mizan,Putrajaya. In some case,we have ordinary objects on their own look very normal and not attractive. However, with their reflections, they look more beautiful and elegant in their own ways.Such is the consequences of light on ordinary subjects.

Whatsapps Photograph

With a simple smart phones, everyone can snap photos and send to his/her fiends or to a a group. It is a very good visual comunication for business, friends  and family to keep in touch. However, some have gone over board-too much of personal life photos are exposed to the public.Sometimes, personal security is sacrificed just for the sake of sharing. Please be more careful and mindful. Personally,I love to share interesting photos to encourage my friends to do good deeds like above  or just for fun like as shown below. Enjoy the fun but be very discrete not to offend others and embarrase yourself later. Not all photos can be shared!

Play with Light

Light is mentioned in the Quran five times in Ayat 35 Surah An Nur.Light or Nur(in Arabic) has its own explicit and implicit meaning. In the above mentioned ayat, each has its own meaning.Kindly refer to Tafseer Ibn Katheer.Without light, there is no photography. Here I am playing with light to make my photos look better and have deeper meaning. Here,I posted two types of light. The above is from the sun as seen under a bridge and below is eletrical light as seen in a train tunnel. Here, you can see light has many colours and tones.

Prime Shots

Day 2-Sunday 26/06/2016:Today I went to PICC and Alamanda in Putrajaya for some cheap sales shopping before Eidil Fitri. While waiting for my wife,I took time to move around the shopping complex and public spaces to capture some photos using Fujifilm X100T. Every camera has its own unique features.Currently my camera is XT1 but X100T shutter button behaves differently.I need at least a few weeks to familiarise myself with this camera.First thing I immediate feel when I started using it that it is quite light and I like it when I am on the move in public space.Secondly, with its fixed prime lens,I cannot zoom anymore. To get the frame I want to capture,I have to do more leg work. Now,I walk more.Good for my healthy lifestyle! Hari Raya Puasa or Eidil Fitri is about a week away.More people are going shopping.Shops are well decorated to seduce the customers. Now,it is good time for me to join the crowd and start shooting street photography and city life.

TRAIN LOVERS

How did I fall in love with the train? It was a long time ago when I boarded my first train ride from Palekbang to KL on my way to SDAR,Tanjung Malim on a Saturday morning in January 1965 .I was 12 years old then and I felt very sad as the train pulled itself out of the station. It was my first time leaving my family to study in a full boarding school. As they say,the rest is history .Now,I love to go shooting trains and train stations whenever I go to KL or KLIA from Bandar Baru Bangi where I live.Looking back,I have two interesting train experiences-taking Eurostar from London to Paris and a double decker train ride from Schiphol airport to Amsterdam. My next train ride will be from KL to Bangkok, insyaAllah. What is so interesting taking photos of trains?Just check out at Flickr, you will be overwhelmed by what you shall see.

Morning Walk at The Esplanade,Presint 1,Putrajaya

I planned to join my friend Amir to go shooting photos yesterday.Somehow, when I arrived I could not locate him,so I went solo.Herewith I submitted some shots about the beautiful views I saw as I walk with my Fujifilm X-T1 & My Galaxy Note5. For the records, all photos posted here were taken using Note5.

Views from Above The Roads

Views from above can be very interesting.I was sitting behind the Monorail's driver. One bad impression I have is that KL has more enough building.Only a few buildings look nice but many are just boring.

SHOOTING THE TRAIN

I love travelling by trains and yet I enjoy shooting at the them.By the way,I don't use any guns, only camera to capture its beauty. What is the beauty of the train? A train is a train.Of course some trains are more elegant and beautiful than others. Some are bigger, even  with double decker. Some are faster and many are slower. But what makes a train look beautiful to me? Or rather where the train looks beautiful-at the station,on the track tarvelling 200km/hr or where it is passing through? One of my favourite shots of the trains is at the station. It is the moment when the train enters the station as shown above.Another time is when the train opens its doors for passengers to exit or enter the coaches. One of my regular pastime is over staying at the Buffet Coach where I can drink my coffee as long as I want, savour the moving sceneries as the train passes through the country side and write my personal journal. The rhythm of the train in motion and th...

LINES

Lines are every where for us to see and I love to take photos of them in their relationship to one another and in the context of their environment. They exist in many ways-different shapes, sizes and colours. Some are very obvious as above and some are hidden as shown below. The above was taken by others about a group of us project managers having our annual geneal meeting cum dinner. Below is something that I love-taking photos of the tunnels from my car driven by my son.I enjoy seeing the curvature of light and tunnel changing as my car moves. Lines formed by light and shadows as shown above never fail to fascinate me.This is my favourite place to shoot at Nu Sentral.KL I love to snap silhouttee shots and turn them into an art.
