Putrajaya Photowalk #3/2014

It was a great day at the Putra Bridge area where fourteen of us had a great time shooting some photos and later we had a great conversation at The Souq... This is my 3rd Photowalk this year that I hosted for my friends.it was not just taking photos, but we walked together to appreciate the beauty of our natural and built environments. We also made new friends and shared our hobbies. As a regular visitor to Putrajaya, guided my friends on where to take good photos and showed them a few hidden gems in Putrajaya for them to explore. My next Putrajaya Photowalk may be a night at Taman Seri Empangan or The Marina. Another beautiful Photowalk will be at Taman Botani or Taman Saujana Hijau. By the way,I will be joining Scott Kelby Photowalk in KL on 11/10/2014.See you around..

Morning glory

The display of light was very dramatic. The morning sky was a tapestry of various glowing colours. It was a gift from Allah so that I could capture the beauty of His creations.it was a rare sight.

Lighting and colours made a diffrence!

Lighting matters..the ordinary high table became extraordinary.

Morning shot

Photowalk

This weekend I will be hosting a photowalk in Putrajaya for my friends. It is not that I am a reknown or best photographer or most qualified to host the event;it is more of social gathering and facilitating my friends to take photos and enjoy photography at a few beautiful locations that I have personally been there a few times and having fun taking photos there.I have done this similar event about six times in the last three years just for fun and free of charge.By walking in a group, we can have fun and learn from each other.Whenever I go out in a group,I  will choose to walk besides an experienced and good photographer so that I can ask questions on improving my shots. My walking group ranges from 2 to 20 persons.A few months ago,I attended a Street Photography group in KL where more than 100 persons attended. It was too big to handle..In the end, everyone finds their own friends to form their preferred smaller groups. They only met at the end of the walk for lunch. And th...

Cafe a with A Great View

A few years ago someone started a Ceritera Cafe here.Sadly it did not last long.It was too early. And then, there was not much activities around this location to make people come  and eat here.About three years ago, a new restaurant came to open for business. It is  called Umai Cafe.By sheer coincidence ,our cycling RV is located on the next lot, side by side with Umai Cafe. All of us ganged up to come and eat and drink here after our rides. We need the restaurant to make money so that they can stay put providing  F&B services to us fellow cyclists. Now, the restaurant suffered growing pains. We promoted it too fast.As they say,the rest is history..Now,we have new problems-too many customers delay our food delivery. During our rides,we stop and take photos. At first,I was snapping around, but later I got interested to capture better quality photos. So I started upgrading my camera from Lumix TZ2 to  Lumix LX5.Not happy with these compact camera later on,I started u...

Putrajaya Inter Parks Rides #26

I   I have been supporting and taking part in PIPR rides for about three years. We started our first ride with about 20'riders.There were more marshals ,police traffic officers and members of support put together compared he numbers of those taking part.Today,we have more 700 riders taking part and years back, our biggest attendance was almost 3100 cyclists taking pard in the ride.We got it recorded to get a Guiness Book of Records! As a rider inside the group,I only take photos during our pitstop points and at the start/Finish location. But today,I decided to something different.indecided not be at the starting point but I went about two km ahead of their track so that I could locate a nice strategic location to enable me to snap better quality photos. The above is my example. As I cycle with my buddies,I just snap along when we slow down or at where we had to get down due to steep gradients or hazards.Today, I stopped at one location where I could see more beautiful flowers to be my ...

Office Towers in Putrajaya.

Personally i hate tall buildings because I am afraid of great height and it caused pains in my neck looking at them. Why I took the photo? It is good for my B&W shot.

Marigold flowers at Taman Saujana Hijau

I love flowers and I like taking photos of nice flowers.Thos shot may not be the best way to shoot flowers but I took it that way to express my happiness seeing so many colourful flowers in Taman Saujana Hijau.
