Pantai Irama is the most famous beach in Kelantan.It is the best beach resort for my kampung folks like me during my growing up years in 50's and 60s.During those days,we just had only the beach for ourselves.No restaurants and no facilities for us at the beach.For my family,this beach is THE HOLIDAY WEEKEND RESORT for us,located 5km from my parent's house.
When we go for family picnic,my mother did all the cooking herself.We brought our own food and drink and mat to sit on.We kids will be on the beach running around and playing in the sea of waves.I love the waves and I still remember a big wave hit me and I felt like drowning.Thank God I rose to the surface again.
Every month,I go back to visit my mother at Pondok Beris,Bachok.Whenever I am free ,I will going around taking photos of a few beaches in Bachok and padi fields in the village.Taking these photos remind me of my childhood days.To promote the beauty of Bachok,I set up a fan page called Bachok is Beautiful.It is my personal photo project and it is a work in progress.One fine day,these collection of photos may become a book.It has a few dozens of my snapshots taken in the district of Bachok.
All the above photos were taken in the morning.I love the golden hour here.May I thank Allah for giving me the chance to capture these beautiful shots that I never dream of.I was very lucky to be here with a camera.
NB: According to my mother,the name of Pantai Irama was given by Allahyarham Dato' Muhammad Yaakob,ex-Menteri Besar of Kelantan when he was the DO of Bachok.
