PHOTOZINE PROJECTS

Here is my first printed photo zine using my photos taken in Putrajaya. It is a collection of photos taken in Putrajaya.

Why am I doing this?

It is the documentary of my life as I walk on the planet earth. The photos selected and curated are reflections of what attracted my attention and feelings. A few had touched my heart. At the same time, I want to inspire and motivate others to do photozines for their own photowalks. Later, we can create a community of Photowalk magazine lovers to share or sell to one another. First, we create the content, then the community followed by collaborations and finally commerce.

How did I do it my way?

As a pilot project, I used the template in Photobook Malaysia Dot Com. I used the standard package that costs me RM37 for 18 pages. Inside the magazine, I posted 37 photos.

Nex Photozine book?

I will select about 25 to 50 photos in line with the new theme and the magazine must contain 30 to 60 pages including a few pages for writing.

Do I have a plan to do a proper Photobook?

Yes! I need more time to think about what it is going to be.

The 2024 theme for World Photography Day is "An Entire Day," encouraging photographers to capture the myriad of activities and moments that occur around the world in a single day. Throughout the week, photography enthusiasts are invited to share their work on social media using the hashtag #WPD24 to have their photos potentially featured on platforms like those of the Royal Photographic Society.
