MY PHOTOGRAPHY IN 2021

I started this photography blog way back in 2014. Today, I have posted 1220 postings, the highest was in 2017-308 in one year. This year 2021, here is my 51st posting.

This year is similar to last year. My movements are very restricted and I went out about twice a week. I hope COVID-19 will fade away soon so that I can do more photography.

Our photo group Putrajaya Photowalk is very active this year. We posted hundreds of photos every month on about 50 themes. Despite MCOs, I managed to organise five Photowalk events for my group. Thank you all my friends for your active participation. As a group,  we started a photobook project two months ago. I hope we can print out our Photowalk Photobook next year.

Personally, I have done four photobooks- Urban Photography, Putrajaya, Putrajaya Wetlands and the latest one Beauty of Putrajaya in Black & White(BOP). Two weeks ago, I put my BOP photozine eBook for sales at Shoppe.

Yesterday, I went to Brickfields-the Little India of Malaysia to capture the place. It was a fun place to walk around. A few restaurants had closed but life goes on. I am glad to see the nice apartments sprang up and the town is very clean. For me, it was not a street photography walk but more like a documentary Photowalk. However, I managed to get a few photos for my street photography.

What is my plan for 2022? I will keep shooting what I love to see but I will do a few photo projects.

This day honors the art, history, and evolution of photography, marking the anniversary of the daguerreotype process, the first photographic technique unveiled by Louis Daguerre in 1839. World Photography Week often features various events, exhibitions, and social media activities, all aimed at celebrating and promoting photography. The 2024 theme for World Photography Day is "An Entire Day," encouraging photographers to capture the myriad of activities and moments that occur around the world in a single day. Throughout the week, photography enthusiasts are invited to share their work on social media using the hashtag #WPD24 to have their photos potentially featured on platforms like those of the Royal Photographic Society. This celebration provides an opportunity for photographers of all levels to showcase their work, learn from others, and appreciate the rich ...
