TULIP RIDE 2.0

The windmill is synonymous with the Netherlands. Many of them are still working. When I went inside the windmill to observe the inner working of the mill as an engineer, I knew immediately the ingenuity of the Dutch people. They had great merchants navy and they are great traders. Their business acumen, courage and technology brought them to Indonesia and the rest is history. Tulips originated from  Turkey but the Netherlands makes billion Euro every year selling tulips. We arrived here by bicycles all the way from Harleem. It was one of my longest rides and we had to cross a river by ferry. It was very nostalgic for me.

Below is the group photo of my cycling tribe when we visited a few cities in Holland in May 2017. I have a great time in my life. Thank you, everyone, for your great company and assistance during the journey and the rides.

I love to see people enjoying their life to the full. I don't know what bring better joys than cycling to a cafe and enjoy your drinks and meals by the riverside in the spring?

Or going for a ride and enjoy the green and beautiful countryside with family members and friends?

We did sightseeing and had lunch at The Hague.

Dutch people are very colourful and peaceful.

During our cycling, we eat whatever and wherever is convenient for us - on the road pavement or inside the restaurants.

Below are a few shots that I managed to capture as a wannabe Street Photographer. My only regret is that I should have shot more photos At my age, I can do one thing at a time.

The above group photo was taken by the bicycle supplier and below by my cycling partner.
