TULIP RIDE 2.0

The windmill is synonymous with the Netherlands. Many of them are still working. When I went inside the windmill to observe the inner working of the mill as an engineer, I knew immediately the ingenuity of the Dutch people. They had great merchants navy and they are great traders. Their business acumen, courage and technology brought them to Indonesia and the rest is history. Tulips originated from  Turkey but the Netherlands makes billion Euro every year selling tulips. We arrived here by bicycles all the way from Harleem. It was one of my longest rides and we had to cross a river by ferry. It was very nostalgic for me. Below is the group photo of my cycling tribe when we visited a few cities in Holland in May 2017. I have a great time in my life. Thank you, everyone, for your great company and assistance during the journey and the rides. I love to see people enjoying their life to the full. I don't know what bring better joys than cycling to a cafe and enjoy...

TULIP TOURS MAY 2017-A Ride To Remember

Oudewater, Holland Two years ago, in May 2017 my cycling tribe went for a week cycling tour in Holland. The trip was led by Marina and the ride was led by Nick Sim. It was a RIDE TO REMEMBER for me. And I am not sure whether I may have another chance to ride again as I am now 66 years old and the limbs are getting weaker. However, given better health, I love to ride again overseas.
