ON COMPOSITION 3.0

After a decade of active photography, I observed that I have my own style of composition of my photos. I shoot photos for my own pleasure. However, some good ones are for sale if there are buyers. My composition depends on the genre and what is the dominant element when I am taking the shot. In the above photo, it was the cyclist.

As an engineer, I love structural engineering. Immediately my eyes got hooked on the repetitive patterns of the frames of the elevated walkway. I just waited for some to walk by to give a human dimension to the subject.

This kid really got me. He is my subject but I waited to see him do something interesting. At the same time, I saw layers and colourful background.

The colours are staring at me in the above and bottom photos. I use the Rule of Third for my composition. Light is very dominant in the above photo.

The rest of the photos is more on the background than the people. But the human element makes these photos alive. It was the lighting that enhanced these photos to my liking.
