SHOOTING BUILDINGS

COLMAR TROPICALE-THE FRENCH RESORT IN PAHANG, MALAYSIA Taking photos of iconic towers against the blue sky of  Bukit Tinggi skyline was a big task. This is a low angle shot to highlight the height of the towers.I took my position to capture the contrast between the lighted and the shadow part of the towers. The top and the bottom photos were taken from inside the courtyard. I love the patterns on the walls and the shapes of the roofs. Very French indeed! The French love the grand entrance to the resort as shown above. The towers stood as guardians to the 'castle' where people need to cross the 'draw' bridge, so to speak.   The massive shadows on the greens caught my attention. Why you like Street Photography? #01 I love walking the street and you can never know who you are going to meet there. It gives a lot of opportunities to take photos of the street happenings. Why you like meeting people? #02 Not actually meeting people, but more to capture interesting things they do or the situation they are in. Sometimes, the ordinary becomes extraordinary!     Why you like extraordinary things to capture? #03 See the photo below. The answer is IN  the MOMENT  of action.

My first two years was learning to shoot photo with 20% knowledge about my camera.Later,my friends taught me to make full use of the features in the camera. Some how I was a very slow learner on the technical side but I learnt faster on the photography side. Now I can say that I know 80% of what my X-T1 can do, but doing it is another story. I am in no hurry-just taking it a week at a time. As an amteur photographer,I seek more fun and joy in taking photos than to be a great photographer or get best shots. The journey is the destination!
