My favourite traditional Kopitiam(cafe) are White House Kota Bharu, Hai Peng Kemaman and Kopitiam Kita Kota Bharu in that order. All of them are family business. A few of the new names, individually or group re struggling to survive and fade away. Small and family business shall suffer growing pains as the business grows and expands with additional outlets. There comes a time(maybe six and more outlets), the family  business must adopt modern corporate management. I knew this from my experience in growing A&W Malaysia business from 13 to 30 outlets a few decades ago. From my observations of these three mentioned traditional Kopitiam, all of them have their own signature products complemented by a few famous local food like nasi dagang,nasi tumpang etc. HAI PENG KOPTIAM KOPITIAM KITA WHITE HOUSE COFFEE

The food nowadays looks so good and colourful that most people will take photos first before they eat the meals. I am of them and at times I do share on my Instagram.
