The above is a very special light and shadow phenomena when it happens only twice a year. It is the time when the sun is above the Kaabah. At that time shadow shows the direction of the Qiblat. Below is the famous escalators at Nu Sentral,Kuala Lumpur. Every time I am here,I just visit this location. On a lucky day, I got this light and shadow scenario. Here is a cool shot I got when I was in Leiden last May 2017. She was cycling alone.I love the long shadow. CYCLING IN KUALA LUMPUR Here is a special situation where I got the silhouette and the shadows of the three men. Many beautiful things happen when I cycle, Herewith, top and bottom I captured the light and shadows. Below are a few situations where we can see beautiful light and shadows from natural external light.

The way you walk reflect who you are and what you are doing. As an amateur street photographer, when I walk the street, I will be looking around for something of interest for me take a photo. By doing so, it makes me more observant to my surrounding-seeing the things as they are  and anticipating what will come next. Just look at the above photo. Immediately I know they are tourists walking around the Bukit Bintang area. Their casual dressing also tells us more about them. My close friends know me even though I am in the dark-from the way I walk. The way they dress and walk together in the group tell us what these youngsters are doing in Putrajaya as shown above. They are expressing their happiness when I took a photo of them taking part in the marathon walk in Putrajaya.   A well-dressed lady walking alone was going some where for a reason. I converted this photo to B&W to accentuate the patterns and the shadows. I know she was on business....

Herewith I am sharing the nice ambience of some of the cafes I love to sit, eat and write my journals. Nice decoration and good food are mandatory for good cafe but the soul is in the conversations while enjoying the food.

Here I am talking about daylight and natural light that manifests itself beautifully in many parts of the city and lighting up  all the nooks and corners of the city. The intense light brightens and creates shadows that are unique to a particular location at that particular time. Actually, I am capturing the moments of the lighted places! These enlightened subjects can be seen from a window or on the corridors of the old and new buildings. Below is the alley full of bicycles with one wall with paints and lighted. It was taken in Gouda, Holland. Below are few escalators to MRT Station. They were lighted by natural lighting through glass walls . It was a great sight to see the whole road lighted, empty of cars but only one cyclist enjoying herself riding into the sunrise. It looks like Leiden to me.
