CAMERA SETTINGS #02

OLD HABITS DIE HARD.I ONLY LEARNT MY LESSONS WHEN I GOT HURT. WE ALL DO. It happens again and again.I did not learn because the mistakes did not hurt me much. My photos did not have the right exposure and blurred but I could not care because I can do it again some other times. But my recent cycling in Holland taught me one big lesson because I lost two golden opportunities. One reason was my failure to re-setting my camera suitable for the place and weather.I wanted to make it and shot the scenery. What made it worse I was wearing sunglasses. My photos were over-exposed because I did EV compensation! In my Fujifilm X-T1,I have 5 groups of shooting menus and 3 groups of set up menus.I have gone through these menus and their options. Some of them can make or break our photos. When I  bought my first DSLR,I did not learn anything much because I set mostly on Auto mode and making a few variation to shutter speed and apertures. I realised my mistakes and started to ...

JUST B&W

The real world is in colour. When I started my photography hobby, all my photos were captured and archived in colours.B&W is not real to me.Slowly, as I explore the world of photography, I began to appreciate photos in B&W.Here is one of them.

CYCLING PATH AND LANES

One of the success factors of cycling in Netherlands is her well-planned and well-maintained infrastructures. We don't need to invent new wheels. There are a lot of lessons we can learn from Dutch cycling history. On second week of May,2017 eight members of my cycling tribe from Putrajaya Cycling Club took to the streets in Holland. We spent five days cycling - passing through the cities and the countryside, exploring the nooks and corners. If you wish to know more about cycling, just come to Holland and ride a bike. Here are a few examples where cycling paths run parallel to the city highways. CYCLING THROUGH THE FARMS CITY CYCLING

AT COVENT GARDEN

Every time I arrive in London, I will allocate some time to visit Covent Garden. I love the food and culture of the place.Five years ago, I came here for a special visit to Apple Centre, This time, last two weeks, I came to visit The Brompton Junction. The Brompton Bicycle

CAPTURING REFLECTION

Water and glass do act like mirrors. That is why we get mirror images through glass and water. The reflected images can appear weird and surreal. And I love to take photos of them.   Here are a few of my lucky shots.

TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHY #04

From my two weeks cycling tour in Holland and holiday in London,I used my Note 5 to take more than 500 photos on the go. Not all photos can be taken using my camera due to time and physical constraints. Like taking the above photo using my camera will attract too much attraction from my subjects. At other times, I may be on the fast move that I had to snap there and then. So, I took out my mobile phone and just shoot what I fancy! Snapshots at Dubai Airport I am not good at taking selfies but here I am We travelled by train from Holland to London Below are a few snapshots when I walk around the cities.
